... is that it has no Soundtrack.

Well at least on blogs we can change that.

Okay blame Wrath Paine for getting me into this. I check out his blog today and noticed that he had now had some kickass music on there. Then I thought to myself... "Okay I'm a DJ on Second Life, and I don't even have music on my frickin blog?!?!"

Well here you go... just tiny sampling of the millions of songs I tend to play/listen to. Scroll down to the bottom if the song you're hearing annoys the shit out of you or something. ;-)
Yeah sounds like some strange movie title, doesn't it?

I got a wild relationship sandwich this week on SL.

On the 22nd... I went to the SL wedding of Callie Carr & Vincenzo Scalia. A really low key affair and a few unfamiliar faces in the crowd. I know Callie from Sanctuary Rock who's a kickass DJ in her own right.

The most amusing part of the cermony was Vince's connection crashing during the kiss. Was really some kiss, huh??? ;-)

The second wedding was this evening between Cale Soderstrom & Gracie Price. These two are mutual friends of Wyatt's & mine.

There's Wyatt on the right as the Best Man, btw. And they asked him to do it only 2 days before the wedding.

I went because we'd been invited before Wyatt and I broke up. I figured it would be a chance to talk to Wyatt and maybe get a dance out of him. At the reception I learn that he didn't come alone. He brought... a date. :-P Now he -claims- it was another friend of Cale & Gracie's... which shouldn't be a big deal, right? Got worse when they started dancing together and I was left there at the sidelines with a few other gals to watch.

I don't care if they were there as friends of the bride & groom or not. Bringing 'a date' so soon after a breakup to a social function that you know your ex is gonna show up at is extremely... bad taste. I don't want to be bitter about this, but I ended up playing nearly 4 hours of 'I hate your fucking guts' songs for my DJ sets. *sigh*

**EDIT** Yes Wyatt still reads my blog. He read this post and both emailed and IMed me to discuss things. We both agreed that the whole situation was both FUBARed and some serious miscommunication. He and his 'date' are just friends and not seeing each other. Wounds on both sides are still fresh and need time to heal, I think.

Okay I guess blame my earlier post today for getting me in a 'thinking mode'.

It's been a little over month now without Wyatt's presence. He's still in my Partner Box, my Picks, my Heart. We both still own the land plot the house is on... the house we bought together. I haven't moved anything he set up, nor have I changed the house. He's even kinda sorta logging in again (maybe once a week or so but it's something) and we're emailing back and forth while he's away.

I have hope that someday he'll be back full time again, but I have other friends telling me that I deserve to be happy and 'move on' with my SLife. I'm very torn about this... especally when neither he nor I know if and/or when he'll be back.

To wait... or not to wait... that is the real question, isn't it? I'm torn... and I'm tired of feeling this way. I wish I could have some more clear answers one way or the other. In the meanwhile, the porchlight is still on in case Wyatt does decide to return...

BTW the Painting is an SL print of a RL painting by an artist named Julie Lee. Bought it in-world months ago and I always seem to find a wall to put it on. :-)

**EDIT** Welp Wyatt saw this post, logged in... we talked for a bit and he resolved the Partnership so I wouldn't be left hanging anymore. We will still remain close friends regardless.

OMG Alexander SL proposed to Myg on the 24th... AND I MISSED IT!!!

I wasn't feeling good that night anyways I logged out early, but this photo certainly speaks 10,000 words, doesn't it?

Kisses and hugs to both of them. :-)
Okay okay I know I promised I would show some of the of the other craziness I went through this past week, and RL busyness ended up getting in the way. RL sucks, don't it?

Anyways....

SL Bloggers Party

The theme for the December Bloggers party ended up being 1940's/WWII... so we all had to dust off our vintage outfits. I found a cute blue dress at bossa nova with gloves and a pillbox hat. Even the music was Big Band era and fun was definately had by all. Ran into a few familiar faces and some new ones who've joined the Blogger family. :-)

HawksRock's Rez Day Party

Completely last minute, but apparently Hawks' rez day happened to be Sunday and so some folks from Clockwork decided to throw him a quick bash. I had just come from a costume event at Valhalla's so I just went in what I was already wearing... and Sally LaSalle snapped this photo...

One time Windlight actually made me look better. LOL! That's Hawks & Dreamer dancing behind me.

Speaking of Clockwork....

Some of ya may have noticed that I now have a Clockwork event tab over on the side. Yep I'm now DJing there once a week on Thursday evenings. At Hawk's party I ended up talking to the owners (well specifially Alexander Burgess) and getting a slot set up. I'll warn ya that I don't really play a lot of the same stuff at Clockwork that I do at Sanctuary Rock & Valhalla's. I will put SL URL's on those side tabs EVENTUALLY. ;-)

Oh and apparently while I was visiting Clockwork on Tuesday, Alexander managed to snag a bitchin picture of me for his Flickr page.

As of this post it has 360 hits just to stare at my underarms. w00t!
Okay so Sunday apparently a lot of stuff was scheduled that I had interest and/or participated in so.... I had about 9 hours of bopping from event to event.

The first few hours were spent at MUSE...

I couldn't pass up going to see my favorite jewelry designer's new sim opening. And apparently a lot of other folks had the same idea. While teleporting in, I bumped into a lot of folks including some well known designers and design admirers. :-)

The new build of the MUSE store, itself, was amazing!

Of course while I was there I had to pick up one of the newest releases, the Celestine Snowflake Necklace. It looks absolutely perfect with Nicky Ree's Snow Queen design.

Just across from the new store, a smaller mall was set with a bunch of other wonderful clothing, skin, and jewelry designers renting spaces around a lovely central sitting area. While exploring there, I happened upon a few faces whom I admire on so many different levels :-)

Here's Rose Farina of Rose Petal Creations alongside Daphne Abernathy of Going Broke with Daphne & Tamara.

Moi standing next to Callie Cline. :-)

Also apparently Tuli Asturias decided not only to make an appearance to promote her new store at the MUSE mall, but also created a whole new design named after Caliah, herself. :-) For only two days the dress came with a special skin. As Tuli wear is yet ANOTHER addiction of mine, I just had to snatch it.

It comes with 2 top options and 4 skirt options which is great for mix and match. :-)

While peeking around, I happened upon Tuli herself showing off this beautiful dress in blue.

I followed Tuli to her shop (OMG does that make me a stalker?) and of course bought the dress right after she posted it on the wall. I was probably the first regular customer to snatch it since I bought it before she sent a notice to the Tuli Group.

But I wasn't the first admirer to wear it, as soon enough I happened upon a very, very busy (and floating) Caliah Lyon wearing the pink version of the dress.

To add to the irony of the day, they were also running 2 token hunts on the whole sim (with 20 little gold tokens that were darn hard to find) with all sorts of cool prizes and gift certificates inside. I ended up with a $1000L gift certificate to Tuli. ;-)

This was just the first 2 hours of my Sunday... I'll post the rest later. :-)

Yah I'm expensive, bishes!!!
Hmmm... actually a lot happened to me this week. It's kind of hard to put it all in here but I'll try.

Tuesday @ Clockwork

I decided to head to Clockwork to hear HawksRock's set. First it was just 4 of us, but then about an hour in the place started to fill up!

Before too long we had 4 of the 5 Mean Girls (Jelly was able to show up, WUWU!) dancing to Hawks' wicked tunes. Fun had by all!

Wednesday @ Lounge of Dreams

Yeah I had been meaning to see Rosie Barthelmess's DJ set for some time now. After my own set I was able to actually head over. :-) After she went through a bit of excited shock as seeing me there, we had a pretty cool IM convo and I even put on my Plus Sized shape in honor of her and the other 2 beautifully large gals in the club. One of them, Blackberry Latte, IMed me and told me that my Mean Girls post inspired her to create her own blog. I was amazed but it also made me feel so good that these gals sorta look up to me. But, in reality, I still believe that Big is Beautiful whether RL or SL. :-)

Kitty gone from MG??

Ooooookay. I checked Mean Girls this mornin' and see Rosie Shark's post... and Kitty completely gone from the blog. To be honest, I'm still confuzzled about it. Was it just a tongue-in-cheek joke Kitty stirred up or was it really a scam? I dunno. Considering what I've seen from Kitty's other posts on both MG and her own blog, she could have very easily made such an elaborate set up if only to show just how crazy (and easy) scamming SL residents can be. Regardless, Rosie & JellyBean decided to remove her and I'm just gonna stay outta the whole thing.

Sheesh... and Friday isn't even here yet.
Yah I'm also addicted to this little joint called AMBUSH... and whilst I was out shopping I ran into one of the two designers, Faye Gefland! ;-)

Totally by happenstance, I assure you. I teleported into the main store and heard voices outside. After making my purchases, I wandered outside and caught a small group of folks literally dancing in the street. Of course, I couldn't help but join in!!!

Folks in the dance line (left to right):

Me, Kanashii Crimson, Voodoo Schnyder, Talen Foulon, Faye Gefland, Tao Ninetails, Nasreen Serevi, Spade Barrett

Considering I had a nutty week this last week, I was glad to have even a few minutes to enjoy something so completely random and ridiculous. ;-)

Here's just a hint of the clothes Faye designs. The rest is shown on her blog. :-)

OUTFIT: Kerry in Blue ~ AMBUSH
BOOTS: Fur-Trimmed Boots in Black ~ AMBUSH
HAIR: Black Cat Bob ~ Bare@Rose
I know I haven't been posting as much lately. My RL has basically turned on its axis and created a buttload of stress. Isn't the holiday season supposed to be about joy and peace? Apparently not in the retail world. GEEZ. It's enough to make a girl turn into a Scrooge for the rest of her life.

Regardless, Saturday at Valhalla's was pretty fun. I tried a Star Wars contest. While the costumes didn't go over super well, we did all have fun with the sheer amount of characters who came to hang out. :-)

Here's just a couple of photos of folks who did dress up...

Rosabella lookin sexy in her Slave Leia bikini. ;-)

Caren, Tall, Deirdre, wow, & Jennifer all dancing to the beats.

Just gotta get through another week of hell at RL work. Hopefully I can come out relatively unscathed.
I got tagged twice by Rosie Barthelmess and by Rose Farina. Hmmmm seems to be a theme here. Anyhoo that means I gotta offer up 8 Random Facts about Guen, don't I?

Here are the rules:
(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
(4) Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog

Aaaaaaannnd *drum roll* the Random Facts:

1) Before Second Life I played on Role Play Games based on the World of Darkness system. These completely text-based games are called MUSHes (Multi-User Shared Hallucinations). I started my first MUSH character back in June of 1994 and finally retired my last two in May of 2007. Yep... 13 years!!!

2) My Mother was Mormon. My Father is Southern Baptist. My Stepmother is Roman Catholic. Me? Shaman. ;-)

3) I ran a Comic Book/Gaming store for 3 years. Gave it up due to upper management being dickheads.

4) I'm actually related to former President, Harry S. Truman twice. His sister married into my mother's family, and his wife, Bess's maiden name was Wallace which is my aunt's married name. Talk about a fork in the family tree!!!

5) I'm a copywriter RL, but I've been writing short stories & poems since I was 5. I even started a few novels (but never finished them) between the time I was 12 & 16.

6) I'm allergic to grapes. Yep! That means no wine, champagne, or most fruit juices that have grape juice concentrate in them. It sucks. :-(

7) I have a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy with a minor in Advertising.

8) The name of my blog is based on four things: 1) I follow a lot of vampire lore. Mmmmm blood. 2) I tend to wear bright red hair a lot on SL. 3) The flow of words from my inner self outwards. 4) 'Crimson Flow' is a song by an obscure goth band named Will.

Okay now I gotta tag 8 other people? Hmmmmm.

Iki Ikarus
Rykk Ferraris
Daisy Beauchamp
Siyu Suen

Okay I have 4. The rest of the folks I know have already been tagged... DAMMIT!
Windlight

Okay I finally did it. I gave in and downloaded the Firstlook Viewer for Windlight so I could see what everyone else has been talking about for myself. Keep in mind that this picture is with a much lower setting that other folks have been photographing but... DAMN! Haven't seen a prettier sunset since I last went to the beach RL. Of course, it completely got ruined by the fact that shitty MOUNTAIN is in my direct line of sight. I'll have to lower my draw distance again just to blind out that stupid thing blocking my beautiful sunset experience.

I tried the highest setting so I could see the reflective water & clouds, and..... my...... machine..... slowed..... down.... to.... a.....crawl. Gotta figure out if it's my video card or something else slowing it down. UGH. Regardless, Windlight is a very snazzy bonus for those who do lots photography in SL or those who simply want Second Life to be even more like RL. I'd suggest at least a peek at it to see what cool effects it can produce.

Wyatt

Yeah I know, I'll be one of the first people to say that I don't want to see blogs with a ton of 'mooshy relationship stuff', but I felt I had to write this stuff out... if even to get the words out of my head for a while.

Wyatt logged in Saturday afternoon and pulled me aside saying he wants to talk. I hate those words. "We need to talk" generally means, "I'm about to say something that's going to make you feel like shit, so be prepared." So we sat, and he mentioned that he wants to leave SL for a while. With the holidays coming up and his RL work schedule being about as pleasant as having your toenails pulled out at the root, I didn't think much of it. My RL work hasn't been very forgiving either, so I basically told him to go ahead and take a break. BUT, then he mentions that I shouldn't be 'left behind' in a relationship with him being gone. Again, I didn't think much about it since really I've had NO desire to cheat, seriously flirt, or otherwise even think about dating anyone else. I told him that we'll just go with the flow and see how things pan out. He's still in my partner box and in my heart, regardless.

So I log on this early afternoon to check on some things AND... there's not only an IM from one of the Owners of Valhalla's asking me if I'll 'be okay' with Wyatt leaving, I have a notecard waiting for me with Wyatt's typed out words sounding more like he's not coming back.... ever. After talking with a couple of people about it (and then having one of the folks I mentioned in my 'Plus-Sized' Mean Girls article basically chew me out), I logged out with my mind completely torn.

Should I go ahead and think that Wyatt's never coming back? Should I keep hope in my heart that someday he'll return? I'm inclined to think the latter for the time being and let things work themselves out. Regardless... my SL experience will feel much more hollow without him there to share it.
